How Can You Meet God?
(John 14:6)
1. God is Spirit.
(1) Because God is Spirit, you cannot see Him with your physical eyes.
(2) Therefore, God is not limited by anyone or anything. Anything that is limited by the hands of man is not God. It is an idol and demons dwell within it (1Cor.10:20)
(3) Because God is Spirit, He is omnipresent.
(4) He is omniscient.
(5) He is omnipotent.
(6) Therefore, we call Him Jehovah.
(7) Because we are spiritual beings, salvation means meeting God, who is Spirit (Is. 40:18-31).
2. But because you have physical body.
(1) you cannot see God.
(2) your spirit is subject to the limitations of your physical body.
(3) The separation of the spirit from your physical body is death.
(4) You can only find salvation while you are still in your physical body(Lk. 16:19-31).
3. The way to meet God.
(1) To save man, God, who is Spirit, put on a physical body and came to this earth (Jn. 1:14).
(2) He is Jesus Christ.
(3) Jesus has both divine and human nature(Mt. 16:16-19).
(4) Therefore, He is sinless (1Cor. 15:45).
(5) Receiving Jesus Christ is the way to meet God(Jn. 1:12, Rev. 3:20).
(6) When you receive Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in you. This is salvation (Jn. 14:15, 26-27).
(7) Once Jesus comes into you, you are eternally freed from the power of Satan.
(8) Pray sincerely to receive Jesus.
4. Evidence that God is with you.
(1) When the Spirit comes to dwell in you, He begins to lead you and sanctify you daily (Jn. 14:26-27).
(2) When you sincerely receive God's Word, the Spirit guides you.
- The Word of God is living and active(Heb. 4:12).
- When you follow the Word of God, your spirit is revived(Ps. 119:25).
(3) When you confess your sins, the Spirit guides you(Ps. 66:18, Gal. 5:16-18).
(4) When you pray sincerely, persistently with a specific time and specific topic, you will experience God's power.
(5) Satan, who has lost hold of you, still tries to hinder you through demons, i.e., spirits of delusion. Therefore God commands you to be filled with the Holy Spirit (Eph. 5:18).
(6) When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, He gives you power to overcome (Acts.1:8):
- yourself.
- the world.
- Satan.
(7) Doors of evangelism are opened.
(8) The evidences that God is alive in your life are manifested.
